| Pinot Noir This fine Burgundian varietal thrives on the calcareous-shale soil and cool breezes of the Templeton Gap. Long hang-time to ripeness produces vibrant cherry flavors, fresh and bright depth and complexity to the mid-palate. Syrah Syrah is perfectly suited to the sunny warm days and cool nights of the West side of Paso Robles. Our Syrah is big wine, exceptionally dark with deep rich tannins and flavors of dark cherry and blueberry. Bold and intense, it will age gracefully in the bottle for several years to come and will turn heads with its exceptional balance of complexity and finesse. Zinfandel Primi On this austere site, planted with much-sought-after Primitivo clone of Zinfandel, vines struggle but manage to maintain a naturally perfect balance between foliage and clusters. The resulting wine displays a marked sophistication often lacking in Zinfandel. Rich, spicy flavors and deep intense pigmentation are a sure sign of fully ripened fruit. Classically structured, the 2003 drinks well now, but will age gracefully for several years. Viognier Vibrantly perfumed and aromatic, Orchid Hill Viognier is rich and supple textured, and offers up fresh flavors of peach, mango and fruit cocktail. Grenache Private Reserve Boldly ripe and fruit-forward, Orchid Hill Grenache – Private Reserve offers enticing flavors of wild berry within a rich and robust oak framework. Fine tannins and elegant complexity balance the intensity of fruit character, ensuring that this supple varietal will provide pleasure for both current and future consumption. Ideal with duck confit, venison tenderloin or grilled flank steak, this Grenache is the perfect match with savory entrées and flavorful cheeses.
